Find the right process first
We begin by mapping the current process, including exceptions and informal workarounds. A high-volume task is not automatically the best starting point; stable rules, reliable data and clear ownership matter. Together we identify a small, valuable workflow that can prove the approach. Examples include enquiry routing, approval requests, staff onboarding, document reminders, service notifications and scheduled reporting.
Build for real conditions
A flow must cope with more than the happy path. We define triggers, decisions, permissions, error handling and what should happen when information is missing. Connections are configured with appropriate ownership so a process does not stop when a person changes role. Names and documentation make the automation readable, while a test plan covers realistic scenarios before it becomes part of daily operations.
Connect the Microsoft ecosystem
Power Automate is particularly useful when work moves between Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms and Lists. We can create approval experiences, file and folder routines, structured notifications and audit-friendly records. Where premium connectors or external systems are involved, we assess licensing, data boundaries and support implications before recommending a design.
Improve with evidence
After launch, we monitor outcomes and gather feedback from the people using the process. That may reveal a rule to simplify, an exception to handle or a better place for a human decision. We can maintain critical flows, train internal owners and create a backlog of future automations. The result is a measured programme of improvement, not a collection of fragile shortcuts.
